Day 1:Casablanca arrival
Upon arrival in Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, you will be met by your private driver and transferred by van to your Casablanca hotel, where you will check in and relax for the afternoon. Depending on time, you could choose to have an optional tour of the Hassan II mosque. It is one of the largest Mosques in the world and it’s hand crafted beauty is breathtaking. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 2 Casablanca / Rabat / Chefchaouen
After breakfast, you will leave towards Chefchaouen, the famous blue city of Morocco in the Rif Mountains. On route, you will stop at Rabat, the capital city and residence of the King, for lunch and a time to enjoy the beautiful coastal city. After lunch you will continue on to Chefchaouen for the night. Dinner will be served in the hotel.
Day 3 Explore Morocco's Blue City, Chafchaouen
After breakfast, you will have a tour of this “cool” blue town, tucked away in the mountains. You will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Rif Mountains. Dinner will be served in the hotel.
Day 4 Chefchaouen /Volubilis / Meknes / Fes
After breakfast, you will set out in the morning to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. You will spend the morning exploring the 2000-year-old ruins and getting a picture of life during the Roman Empire. Lunch will be taken in Meknes one of Morocco’s Imperial cities. After lunch, your guide will take you on a tour of Meknes, and then you will head off to Fes, the cultural and spiritual capital of Morocco. Dinner will be served in the hotel.
Day 5 Fes Guided Tour
After breakfast you will begin your guided tour of the medina, one of the world’s largest walled in cities. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco. A visit to the Kings Palace, the tanneries, and potters are just a few places you will experience. For lunch you will eat in traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina. After lunch you will complete the tour and return to your hotel for the evening. Dinner will be served in a local restaurant.
Day 6 Fes-Ifrane- Erfoud
After an early breakfast you will begin your ascent across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend towards the Sahara Desert. Half way, you will stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks. On arrival at the Kasbah in Erfoud, a hot shower or dip in the swimming pool (depending on the weather) will be a treat after the drive. Dinner will be served at the Kasbah.
Day 7 Erfoud-Sahara Desert
Most of the day will be spent relaxing at the hotel or exploring the small but interesting desert town. In the afternoon, you will head off in some 4-wheel drive vehicles across the barren land to the majestic Sahara sand dunes. You will set off by camel for a 1/2-hour trek out onto the dunes to watch the sunset. You will spend the night in Deluxe Berber tents ( Dinner, bed and breakfast included ).
Day 8 Sahara desert - Todra Gorges - Ouarzazate
After breakfast, you will return to the 4×4s and head back to Erfoud. From Erfoud, you will set out behind the High Atlas Mountains on route to the Todra Gorges.
In the afternoon, you may enjoy a walk in the towering Todra Gorges (600 feet high). The picturesque river valley makes for a beautiful journey towards the southeast of Morocco.
From here, you will set off towards Ouarzazate along the Route of 1,000 Kasbahs! If you would like, you can visit the ancient Kasbahs in the palmaries.
Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, you can visit this southern town, probably most famous now for the films that have been produced in the area. Overnight in your Hotel includes bed a breakfast and Dinner.
Day 9 Ouarzazate / Ait Benhaddou / Marrakech
After breakfast, you will head off towards Marrakech. On the way you will visit one of the jewels of Morocco…Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. In typical Moroccan fashion, the true treasures must be searched out and discovered…usually off the beaten path. In actuality, this setting has been used for more films than any other location in Morocc films including Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, and The Gladiato After your visit to this famous Kasbah, you will complete the drive over the High Atlas Mountains. Once in Marrakech, you will check into your riad and then head off to the Jemaa el-Fna, the center square of the medina. The famous Jemaa el-Fna, is one of the center attractions of Marrakech. Coming alive at night with the local storytellers, entertainers, and mouth-watering barbeque pits, the square is well worth a visit. A quiet cup of tea on the terrace of an adjacent café provides a spectacular aerial view of the bustling square. Overnight in your Hotel includes bed and breakfast.
Day 10 Marrakech Guided Tour
After breakfast, you will enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, the southern pearl of Morocco.
You will discover the Palace of the Bahia, the Saadian Tombs, and many other hidden treasures. After lunch, you will continue with the tour on to the magnifice Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Djemaa el-Fna, one of the center attractions of Marrakech. The tour will conclude with an exploration of the souk (market) lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco.Overnight in your Hotel includes bed and breakfast.
Day 11 Free Day in Marrakech
You will be able to enjoy more of Marrakech by yourselves. You might want to enjoy a Hammam Spa & Massage or a cooking class with a Moroccan chef. Your driver guide will be there if you need him with anything. Overnight in your riad. Bed and breakfast included.
Day 12 Marrakech-Essaoura
After breakfast in your riad, we will leave Marrakech and head towards the Atlantic coast and to the laid-back beach town of Essaouira (formally Mogador). Today, we are going to drive through the land of Argan trees. If you are lucky, you might come across goats climbing trees to eat Argan fruit.. Here, you have the option to visit a women's co-operative where they produce Argan oil. We will arrive at Essaouira around 11 am and start exploring the city.
Essaouira is an exotic town with its fortified walls, fishing harbour and seagulls screaming over the town. It became a UNISCO's World Heritage in 2001 thanks to its 18th century fortified Medina. It was once occupied by French and Portuguese, which influenced the way it looks today.
Because of its small size and its characteristic blue doors and washed walls, it is also regarded as Morocco’s "Jewel of the Atlantics”. Our visit includes :
● The Skala Frtress, the 18th-century seafront ramparts along the coast to see Thuya wood carved by artisans.
● Walk through the alleys of the Medina and view hundreds of handicrafts.
● Visit to the Jewish headquarter, and enjoy sunset at the beach
Day 13 Essaouira- Casablanca
You will have a free morning to enjoy Essaouira beach. Go for a walk and watch the windsurfers or go explore more of the Medina and take in this beautiful seaside town of Essaouira before saying goodbye and returning to Casablanca. Today, you will enjoy a wonderful drive along the coast stopping in the seaside towns of Safi and El Jadida. Arriving in Casablanca around 5-6 pm. Overnight in a hotel in the city center or by the airport if your flight departs early the next
day.
Day 14 Casablanca / Depart
After breakfast, You will be transferred to the airport depending on your departure time.
